Globe Backpackers Limited does not store any of our guest’s personal data on computer software so there is no possibility of your data being hacked.

 

However, we do keep a hard copy of your booking and check in details. We are required to keep a full record of bookings and payments for accounting purposes.

 

The information gathered on the check in form is used for in-house purposes only to evaluate any statistical trends of our business. We do not use your name, contact details or ID details in our spreadsheet analysis.

 

The check in form records the following:

• Name

• Contact details

• ID e.g. passport number

• Gender

• Age

• Nationality

• How did you find out about us?

• How you travelled to us?

• The number of nights you stayed

 

A record of payments is required for accounting purposes and it is UK law to store payment records for a period of 7 years.

Your check in details are held in a metal lockable filing box in our reception office during your stay which is locked whenever the reception office is left vacant.

 

When you check out your forms are always filed and kept under lock and key and put into storage off premises.
